Grief and Bereavment Information
We here at Phillips Funeral Home offer free to all the opportunity to share your feelings of anger, sadness, and grief without judgement.
Healing takes time. Just like a cut, sometimes a band aid just isn't enough. If not taken care of it can fester and become worse. The healing must start from the inside to be effective. Talking, sharing openly, spiritually searching for meaning and keeping memories are helpful aids to start the healing process.
There are several books written about grief and how a person should and shouldn't feel. These books are helpful but everyone does not go through the grieving process the same way. You have the right to experience your own unique grief.
A support group meeting will be held the second Tuesday of each month at Phillips Funeral Home from 6PM to 8PM. Also a support group meeting will be held the second Thursday of each month at the funeral home from 1PM to 3PM.
Mourning the loss of a loved one is a lonely feeling but is one that sometime needs help. As your Group Facilitator, I want to help in any way that I can. I believe just being able to vent to a good listener can be helpful.
