Life Legacy
Roy S. Hollis, 78 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Wednesday afternoon March 23, 2011 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. On November 18, 1932 he was born in Langley, Arkansas to the late Algie M. and Doris (Graves) Hollis. He was married in 1953 in Waynesville, Missouri to Evelyn (Boulware) Hollis who survives of the home.

Son & Daughter in law, Scott & Cheryl Hollis of Jefferson City, Missouri
Grandchildren, Jessica Bond, Kymberly Wallis, Christina & Josh Rineheart and Eric & Russell Goodrich.
Great Grandchildren, Bailey & Madison Robinett, Hazel & Layla Bond, Nicholett & Gaberella Wallis and Courtney & Ashley Rineheart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
Roy was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He managed Mac's Laundry & Cleaners in Waynesville, Missouri for 12 years and also worked at Rice's Cleaner's in Waynesville before owning & operating Quality Cleaner's in Jefferson City, Missouri for 13 years. He then owned and operated BE Laundry & Cleaners in Versailles, Missouri for 3 years. Combined, Roy had over 40 years in the dry cleaning business. He also owned several rental properties. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Missouri and was an avid sports enthusiast, coaching baseball & softball in his earlier years. Roy was very giving to family, friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 26, 2011 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon,Missouri with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Avery officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Eldon Food Pantry.
