Life Legacy


Joseph Sczepanski, age 89, of Lake Ozark, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach, Mo.

He was born on February 1, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of the late Kasimier and Wladyslawa (Osinska) Sczepanski. He was married on May 7, 1960, in St. Louis, Mo., to Norma (Ritzel) Sczepanski, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2003.

He served in United States Army during WWII. He retired from Tums Pharmaceuticals in St. Louis. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #9273 in Lake Ozark. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #6514 in Osage Beach. He was greatful to all neighbors in time of need.

He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Richard & Cindy Sczepanski of Lemay, Mo.; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Lou Bach of Arnold, Mo.& Debbie & Raymond Pashia of Arnold, MO; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; step son, Ron Meyer of Lauder, Miss.; sisters, Stephanie Riebold of St. Louis County and Theresa Hauskins of St Charles, MO.; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark with the Msgr. Michael Wilbers officiating.

Interment will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett with full military honors provided by Eldon V.F.W. Post #2442.
