Biography

Majorie Szabo, 78 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday October 18, 2011 at her home in Eldon, Missouri. On July 21, 1933 she was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late George R. and Lucille (Lee) Barkes.

Survivors include:

Children; Zeno Hernblom of Lake Ozark, MO; John Szabo of Bloomington, IL; Sharon Szabo of Aurora, IL; and Michael Szabo of Eldon, MO; fourteen Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Richard Barkes of Kentucky; Leonard “Sonny” Barkes of Mountain Home, AR; and Ed Barkes of Aurora, IL.

She was preceded in death by a son, George Szabo, Jr.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of AT&T. She loved collecting dolls.

Her body has been cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
