Biography
Willis “Junior” Stone, 81 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday October 27, 2011 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri. On June 8, 1930 he was born in Tuscumbia, Missouri to the late Willis Elmer and May (Lawrence) Stone. He was united in marriage on July 31, 1954 in Eldon, Missouri to Lena (Martin) Stone who survives of the home.

Daughter and Son in law, Lisa and Greg Bartley of Summerfield, North Carolina; Sons and Daughter in laws, Howard and Debby Stone of Eldon, Missouri and Bucky and Tammy Stone of Linn Creek, Missouri; Six Grandchildren, Jessica, Nick, Todd, Tara, Morgan, and Malory; Three Great Grandchildren, Ethan, Hope, and Addilyn; Sisters, Bertha Bacon of Versailles, Missouri; JoAnn Jones of Eldon, Missouri and Annie Lee Stone of Eldon, Missouri;
Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He served in the United States Army. He was a POW during the Korean War. He was a member of the Chosen Few, member of the VFW Post # 2442 of Eldon, Missouri; and a member of the Union Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, Missouri. He retired as a lineman from Union Electric Company after serving fifty years.
Visitation will be on Saturday October 29, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Missouri. Funeral Service will be on Sunday October 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. John Martin officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery will full Military Honors provided at the Graveside by VFW Post #2442 of Eldon, Missouri.
