Life Legacy
Marilyn (Schmitz) Shaw, 68 of Kentfield, California passed away Thursday February 9, 2012 in Kentfield, California. On August 24, 1943 she was born in Eldon, Missouri the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary F. (Meyer) Schmitz. In October of 1971 she was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon, Missouri to Peter John Shaw who survives of the home.

Brother and Sister in law, John and Natalie Schmitz of Malakoff, TX; a Niece and her Husband, Mary and Ben Hampton of Lafayette, LA; Niece, Jennifer Schmitz of Lake Ozark, MO; a Nephew, Jonathan Schmitz of Lake Ozark, MO; Great Nephew, Vincent Sauter, and Great Nieces, Morgan Schmitz and Mary Schmitz.
A Brother, Gene Schmitz preceded her in death.
Marilyn graduated from Eldon High School in 1961. She then graduated from the University of Missouri in 1965. She was a member of the Irish Terrier Club of America and of Northern California. She was Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of San Rafael Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was also a member of the San Anselm’s Catholic Church in San Anselmo, CA.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO, with Msgr. Donald Lammers officiating. Interment will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.
Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry.
